The Blixem 670e
Minimalistic elegant design with Dutch feel and history. BLIXEM 670e has been designed to sail smoothly in the canals with a speed of 5 km/h (maximum 20 km/h), non-stop for 11 hours. The fantastic color combination of the sloop and the pillows gives a luxury and a relax feeling. Blixem has a powerful 4KW Torqeedo electric engine which is placed under the back seat. The Hull derived from a 18 century fishing boat that was used to bring the fishing nets in.

A 100% electric boat that is efficient minimises energy consumption, make 0% emissions of spent fuel into water with powerful silent engine. This makes BLIXEM the boat with the smallest COâ‚‚ impact, regardless of the carbon intensity of the energy it uses to charge. The solar cells roof mean that for 200% extended periods of time, no charging will be needed at all, and when necessary.

The company behind the Blixem sloops is 'Van Veluw Beheer' (VVB). The VVB team consists of a group of dynamic people who have interesting stories to tell. Just like the owner, the people at VVB have 3 passions, aviation, technology and construction and especially innovation in these sectors. In the last 20 years, VVB has been involved in many innovative projects, such as recycling projects at Schiphol. Developing energy neutral buildings for training in various countries, solar backup systems, energy neutral prefab houses. In 2018, VVB built the prototype of a fully solar-charged electric boat together with specialists in the shipping industry. This was so well received that it was decided to start the electric sloop production called 'Blixem'. The Bliksem sloop is therefore a fully developed and built sloop in the Netherlands.
